It's the last day of November!

How can that be?!? I feel like this month just flew by! Anyone else feel the same way?

Reading is one of my very favorite things to do! If you are a reader like me, you get giddy opening a new book and meeting new characters. If you are not a reader like my friend Shawna, then go to Netflix and start watching Suits!

I needed a new show to watch and since the big news this week is that Meghan Markle is engaged to Prince Harry, I decided to look up Suits and give it a try. There are at least 7 seasons so definitely a show you can binge watch! So far, I really like it! If you've seen the show, comment and let me know your thoughts!

Now, on to books! I have six new books for you!

Me Before You.jpg

I have so many books on my bookshelves to read and I kept slipping this one to the back of the pile. I knew I wanted to read it before watching the movie. I finally pulled it out this month and LOVED this book! Louisa Clark is just an ordinary girl. She lives with her family and has a steady boyfriend. She badly needs a job and ends up taking a position as a caretaker for Will Traynor. Will has always lived a life full of adventures, extreme sports, traveling the world, and making big deals at work. He is now wheelchair bound after an accident and he struggles with his new way of life.  He is bossy and moody. Lou is hired to help with every day tasks and to bring him some happiness to his world. She learns of Will's shocking plans (I won't give it away) and decides to show him that life can still be fulfilling and worth living. This book is a love story that you won't soon forget.

After You book cover.jpg

After You is the sequel to Me Before You. Again, I know I am behind in reading these books so I decided to jump right into the sequel. Now, if you have not read Me Before You yet, bookmark this blog post and come back to it! If you read this review, it will SPOIL the first book in the series for you! STOP READING NOW!

If you HAVE read Me Before You, keep reading! 😉

How do you go on living your life after losing the person you love? After You follows Lou's journey and how she struggles without Will Traynor in her life. An accident brings Lou back home to her family and once she physically heals, she goes back home and knows she needs more help. She joins the Moving On support group where they share their stories and struggles and give encouragement and insight to one another. Through this group, she meets Sam Fielding who is a paramedic. He deals with life and death on a daily basis through work but also has his own personal loss. A new person from Will's past comes into the picture and changes everything for Lou. This book has turns and twists and a love story too. I really enjoyed learning about Lou's life after Will however I think I liked it more because I had just read Me Before You and it was fresh on my brain. I'm not sure if I would have enjoyed the book as much had I waited months to read it. It's a good read that keeps your emotions up and down with a few laughs too!

Sparkly Green Earrings book cover.jpg

Sparkly Green Earrings by Melanie Shankle is hysterical!  Melanie is the author of the Big Mama blog and has written several books. This was my first one to read by her but I already have two others waiting on my bookshelf. Sparkly Green Earrings is about Melanie’s journey through motherhood and you will definitely relate!  I promise you'll laugh through the whole book and you won't want to put it down!

The next book I read was PERFECT timing!

The Royal We book cover.jpg

The Royal We was FABULOUS! Hello, my name is Tish and I am obsessed with the royal family! Specifically, Will and Kate. How cute are they? And now, Harry and Meghan! I can't wait for the wedding and all that comes with it! This book was so much fun to read! It is fiction but loosely based on William and Kate and their courtship. It is charming, entertaining, and you will love it! If you haven't read this one before, this is the perfect time to pick it up!

Next I started a new series. I love a series. I love to get to know characters so in depth that I feel like we are friends. Do you ever read a book and miss the characters when you're done? #oristhatjustme

Winter Street book cover.jpg

Winter Street by Elin Hilderbrand is the first book in the series. I have wanted to read these books for a while but wanted to wait until the holiday season as they take place during Christmas. It is sweet, festive, and has some surprises. You will fall in love with the Quinn family. The novel takes place in Nantucket. Kelley Quinn is the owner of Nantucket's Winter Street inn and father to four grown children. He looks forward to the holidays and all the traditions until this year when he walks in on his wife kissing Santa Claus. It gets more crazy when his ex-wife, who is a famous news anchor, arrives at the inn. It is a heart warming novel about family coming together for the holidays. I loved all the characters and read this one quickly BUT it ends kinda abruptly. I'm glad I had the second novel already on hand to read!

Winter Stroll book cover.jpg

Winter Stroll is the second book in the series and did not disappoint! It picks up a year later but tells you what has happened during that time. It's an easy read and will definitely get you in the holiday spirit!  I've already started book number 3, Winter Storms and the 4th book, Winter Solstice was just released! My plan is to read books 3 and 4 in December!

Right now, I am wrapped up in my blanket on the couch, listening to Christmas music with a cup of coffee and a book. #myhappyplace

What are you reading? I'd love for you to leave me some suggestions of what to read next!

Happy Thursday, friends!
