WHAT WE ARE EATING THIS WEEK:
We have been having a lot of "Choose Your Own Adventure" meals at our house because baseball is taking over our lives! This is where the kiddos all pick what that they want to eat each night because we are all eating at different times. Think sandwiches, cereal, corn dogs, hot pockets, pancakes, mini cheeseburgers, bagel bites...all the healthy stuff! #pleasedontjudgeme
We did have two rainy nights so far this week so baseball was cancelled and I cooked rice with chicken, shrimp, and veggies one night and breakfast for dinner another night and the boys were WAY excited! We all LOVE baseball season but look forward to summer nights of grilling soon!
WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT:
All the memories of our sweet home!
Mark and I designed this home and built it 10 years ago this month! We sold our house and moved over Spring Break and we have all been sharing our fun special memories from this home!
We are going to build again so for now we are in a rental house and getting excited about planning the next home!
WHAT I'M LOVING:
I snapped this picture yesterday between the rain showers. Can't you just hear the angels singing from heaven?! I stopped and praised God right there for the rain and all His blessings!
Spring has brought lots of bunnies to our house these past few weeks too! Carson and Cutter LOVE seeing them!
WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO:
Watching LOTS of baseball games! Carson is playing in the Majors this year and is pitching for the first time!
And Cutter is playing in Minors and scored the first run of the season sliding into home!
Love that face! Ha!
We have also started spring soccer.
Cutter LOVES to run! Like seriously, this kid will ask if he can run around the block before getting in the car to leave for school. LOVES. TO. RUN.
WHAT I'M DREADING:
All the unpacking!
We have done quite a bit but still have so much to go to feel settled. But again, baseball season and busy real estate season don't allow for much extra time. One box at a time, one day a time. We will get there!
WHAT I'M WORKING ON:
If you are local and need help buying a home, selling a home, purchasing investment properties, or are looking to build a new home, I'd love to visit with you! My contact info is HERE.
WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT:
We had our Easter egg hunt at church this past Sunday. Conner helped "hide" the eggs with the youth and Cutter and Carson "hunted eggs".
It's really more like a large field with eggs in the grass but the kids love it! Ha!
WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING:
I just started reading Kristan Higgins If You Only Knew this week! EEKS! It's really good so far!
I am still watching Madam Secretary! I love Tea Leoni!
And Mark and I are now on Season 7 of Suits! Oh my goodness, I LOVE. THIS. SHOW.
We have been binge watching Suits. Can't stop. Won't stop.
Both of these shows are excellent!
WHAT I'M LISTENING TO:
If Mark or Conner are at home, then I am listening to all the March Madness basketball games. They seriously have them on every TV in the house!
We are HUGE University of Kentucky fans! (Sadly, we are out.) Who are you guys cheering on?
And give me ALL the Sam Hunt!
WHAT I'M WEARING:
The past few weeks have been lots of workout clothes as we packed, moved, and unpacked! I looked through my photos and I don't have any pics! I'll do better next month! (And hopefully will be in cuter outfits than sweats!)
WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND:
HEADED TO WACO TO SEE OUR GIRL!
We LOVED having Alyssa home for Spring Break however she has a full few months finishing up this semester of college so probably won't be able to fit in a visit until summer. Since we have Saturday off from sports activities for Easter weekend, we are headed to Waco to spend the day with our girl!
WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:
Celebrating Cutter's BIRTHDAY!
Cutter turns 9 years old in April and we are going to celebrate BIG! He has been planning it for approximately 364 days!
WHAT ELSE IS NEW:
Not much! I think I covered it all!
BONUS QUESTION - WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE EASTER TRADITION:
At our house, we leave the kids' Easter baskets by their beds. In the morning, they wake up and see what the Easter bunny left for them. Their baskets are filled with odds and ends - movies, clothes, Easter candy, new sunglasses, etc. Little fun spring gifts! The Easter bunny also hides eggs inside our house that the kids hunt in their PJs before church.
We always snap a picture before hunting and I tried to find one that wouldn't get me into trouble with the older kiddos. This one of Cutter and Carson from a few years ago is too cute!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
It feels SO GOOD to be blogging again! This move made me realize we are getting older - I have been flat exhausted and SORE! Ha!
Happy Wednesday, friends!
